What is the Pension Schemes Registry?
|
The Pension Schemes Registry is a huge
database of occupational and personal pension schemes which is a part of the
Occupational Pensions Regulatory Authority (OPRA). OPRA has powers given to it
by the government to regulate the activity of occupational pension schemes and
make sure they are run properly.

What can the Pension Schemes
Registry do for me?
|
The Pension Schemes Registry is a database of
a little under 200,000 pensions schemes and can be used (completely free of
charge) to search for a pension scheme of which you are a member. It can be easy
if you have changed jobs a number of times over your working life to have lost
contact with a previous employer and its pension scheme.
If you have lost track of a company in which
you were a member of the pension scheme then when you come to retirement you
will be unable to claim your pension. The Pension Schemes Registry can search
its huge database to locate a contact address for the scheme so you can contact
them and claim your pension. Don't miss out on a pension that you
have earned, track it down and make it yours!

Trace an old pension scheme
|
To trace a pension from an occupational or
private pension you have lost contact with you can either
1. Write to the pensions scheme registry at
The Pension Schemes Registry, PO BOX 1NN, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE99 1NN.
2. Telephone them on 0191 225 6316
